For the next two weeks, I'll be spending time on a Holy Land Pilgrimage in Israel with Ecclesia Houston and my Pastor, Chris Seay. I'll be posting daily updates at the end of every day documenting moments through photo and video. I recommend following our fellow friend + genius photographer, Kirby Trapolino, at

This morning, we drove down through the Jordan valley to Qasr el Yahud + Jordan River the place where John the Baptist baptized Jesus. Here many participated in commemorating their baptisms.

We continued to visit Jericho, the site of the first victory of the Israelites in the Land of Canaan. We then proceeded to the Mount of Temptation where Jesus went into the wilderness and fasted for 40 days following His baptism and was tempted by Satan, as described in the Gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke.

One of my favorite events was enjoying some time floating in the Dead Sea! (I'm hoping we all wake up with the best skin! ha!). We finally made our way to Jerusalem for a local meal at a pizzeria in the Old City, Jacob's Pizza.

And when Jesus was baptized, immediately he went up from the water, and behold, the heavens were opened to him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and coming to rest on him; and behold, a voice from heaven said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.”
